The animated film The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender has finished filming and will premiere on Paramount+ rather than in theaters, with a release set for October 9, 2026. Co-director Lauren Montgomery confirmed on Instagram that production has wrapped ahead of the streaming debut.

The movie follows Aang and his friends several years after the events of Season 3, continuing the story of the Avatar who awakens from an iceberg after 100 years to find the world at war. The original series remains widely praised and already spawned the spin-off The Legend of Korra.

Voice cast members include Eric Nam as Aang, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Jessica Matten as Katara, Dionne Quan as Toph, and Steven Yeun as Zuko. Dave Bautista, Ke Huy Quan, Dee Bradley Baker, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Taika Waititi join in undisclosed roles, with Bautista rumored to play the central villain.
