'The Lowdown' Season 2 Casts Tommy Lee Jones

Tommy Lee Jones is joining the cast of The Lowdown for its second season, marking his first television role in 37 years. The neo-noir crime series starring Ethan Hawke was renewed for a second season in January and is set to begin production this spring in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

It is unclear what part Jones will play, but he joins Betty Gilpin as one of the new cast members for the upcoming episodes. The show was created by Sterlin Harjo, who executive produces alongside Garrett Basch, Ethan Hawke, Ryan Hawke, Duffy Boudreau and Scott Teems.

The first season paired Hawke with Keith David and a rotating roster of guest stars, including Kyle MacLachlan, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tim Blake Nelson, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Michael "Killer Mike" Render, Kaniehtiio Horn, Tracy Letts, Peter Dinklage and the late Graham Greene.
