The Madison, a Taylor Sheridan-written neo-Western starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell as Stacy and Preston Clyburn, premieres on Paramount+ on March 14, 2026. The couple, city dwellers who retreat to rural Montana after a family tragedy, anchor a six-episode story that Sheridan also executive produced.

With only six episodes — three released on March 14 and the remaining three on March 21 — The Madison becomes the shortest season yet in the Yellowstone universe. By contrast, Yellowstone Seasons 2 through 4 and the 1883 miniseries each ran 10 episodes, while 1923 offered eight episodes in Season 1 and seven in Season 2.

CBS’s Marshals follows a different plan: a more traditional network approach with 13 weekly episodes airing from March 1 to May 24, 2026. The Madison’s compact release is intended as a bingeable event; all six episodes were written by Sheridan and directed by franchise alum Christina Alexandra Voros, and a six-episode Season 2 has already been filmed.
