The Night Agent premiered in 2022 and became a streaming sensation, drawing 98.2 million views in its first season. Netflix followed with Season 2 and released Season 3 last month, but the series is showing a significant slide in audience numbers.

Season 3 recorded 8.3 million first-week views, a roughly 40% drop from Season 2's 13.9 million and far below Season 1's 20.6 million. In its second weekend the new season had accumulated 9.9 million views and ceded the platform's top spot to Bridgerton, which logged 28 million in its fifth week in the top ten.

Declines are common as shows age and production costs rise, but a fall of this magnitude suggests larger challenges. Netflix has officially renewed the series for Season 4 and a writers' room is already active; showrunner Shawn Ryan had said the team was breaking episode five and focusing on scripts while awaiting a formal green light.

All seasons of The Night Agent are available to stream on Netflix.
