The Night Agent Season 4: Confirmation, Cast & What We Know

Netflix has not officially renewed The Night Agent for a fourth season, but the writer’s room is already at work and creator Shawn Ryan has sounded optimistic. Ryan pointed to the early start that helped deliver Season 3—writers began in July 2024, Netflix greenlit the season in October, filming started in November, and the show premiered a little over a year after Season 2.

He told Forbes that “barring disastrous viewership, the same thing will happen again soon,” and they should know “in the next few weeks.” Production is moving from New York to Los Angeles after Sony Pictures TV received a California tax credit that includes a six-month window to begin filming, making a decision by May 2026 seem likely.

The Night Agent remains one of Netflix’s most-viewed shows and continues to be a major draw for the streamer. Ryan has said he wants to explore Peter Sutherland’s evolution and hopes to have the opportunity to wrap the story up satisfactorily.
