Nintendo and Illumination showed the final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie during a Nintendo Direct, and a handful of casting reveals stole the show — most notably Donald Glover as Yoshi. Yoshi has traditionally been voiced by Kazumi Totaka, the veteran musician and composer behind many Nintendo games.

Glover is stepping into Yoshi's weird shoes that are somehow attached to Yoshis at birth, a casting move Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri says reflects Glover's status as a "Nintendo super-fan." Luis Guzmán appears as Wart and Issa Rae plays Honey Queen, whom Meledandri described as the "imposing ruler of the Honey Hive Galaxy." The trailer also confirms the return of Lumalee, the nihilistic Luma from The Super Mario Bros.

Movie, now flexing her bleak nature as a prison guard. Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key and Kevin Michael Richardson reprise their roles, while Brie Larson joins as Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr.
