The Voice: Battle of Champions returns for Season 29 with Coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine. The season premieres tonight, February 23, at 9/8c in a two-hour event that begins with the Blind Auditions. The trailer leans into the rivalry. Levine tells an Artist, "I’m the first Coach ever to win the show," and Clarkson immediately fires back, "But I have won the most!" When Levine and Legend brag about having taken home the Grammy for Best New Artist, Clarkson quips, "I hate it when dad and dad fight." CeeLo Green returns to oversee the All-Star Showdown, which brings back past-season Artists including Renzo (Season 27), Girl Named Tom (Season 21), Javier Colon (Season 1), Jake Hoot (Season 17), Jordan Smith (Season 9) and Maelyn Jarmon (Season 16).

Clarkson says she is "so stoked" to be back and describes her strategy to beat the other Coaches as, "Just be me." Legend adds, "First of all, we're champs. It's established, we've all won the show.
