Jurassic World Rebirth, the latest entry in the franchise and an Academy Award nominee for Best Visual Effects, is now available to stream on Netflix in the U.S. The film became one of 2025's highest-grossing releases despite making some unconventional narrative choices.

Rebirth opens on a world where dinosaurs have become commonplace and even boring to the public. Its premise sends scientists and mercenaries to an island of mutated dinosaurs to search for a cure for heart disease, setting up varied action sequences such as Zora (Scarlett Johansson) harpooning a Mosasaurus and Dr.

Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) narrowly escaping a Quetzalcoatlus on a cliff. Rather than casting dinosaurs as relentless killers, the film often treats them like animals: a T. rex is shown startled awake and curious before it turns predatory, and a Titanosaurus is depicted grazing in a field.
