TikTok doctor says Kristen Bell asked about drinking her own urine

Dr. Mikhail Varshavski revealed on an upcoming episode of The Basement Yard podcast that Kristen Bell messaged him to ask whether she should drink her own urine for health reasons. He told hosts Joe Santagato and Frank Alvarez he was not violating HIPAA by naming her because it was not an official patient consultation.

Varshavski said he advised Bell not to drink her urine, adding, “Kristen Bell, I can’t believe you really considered drinking urine.” He explained that the situation stemmed from a prank on set rather than medical advice. Bell later told the story on her husband Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, saying co-star Justine Lupe had claimed urine was “nutritious and very vitamin-dense” and began bringing fake pee to work to convince her.

The ruse continued for several weeks before Lupe revealed it was a joke.
