Timothée Chalamet Calls Dune: Part Three 'Eerie' and a 'Big Swing'
Timothée Chalamet has described Dune: Part Three as "the eeriest one" and "a big swing." The Denis Villeneuve–directed sequel, said to draw on Dune Messiah, is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, positioning it against Avengers: Doomsday for holiday audiences.
Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides alongside Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Rebecca Ferguson and Jason Momoa. He opened up about the film during a conversation with Matthew McConaughey at Variety and CNN's town hall, offering a few more details while remaining mostly reserved.
He confirmed an ornithopter sequence returns and said he was "way more geared up" this time, arriving early to study the control panel with "all sorts of hieroglyphics" so he could invent a dynamic for each button.
