Tinder unveiled a slate of new products at its Tinder Sparks conference, including an astrology mode, AI photo enhancements, and an Events tab aimed at encouraging offline dates. CEO Spencer Rascoff said the company must respond to changing tastes and conceded it "can't put our heads in the sand and stay wedded to past practice." The Events feature, testing in Los Angeles, sits next to the swiping tab and lets users browse listings with attendee counts and blurred photos that unblur once they register.

Rascoff called events "fun, they're low-pressure, they're social, they're safe," and said they bring Tinder into the physical world in a way consistent with users' lifestyles. New specialty swiping modes for music and astrology are already driving engagement: one in 10 users under 22 have adopted Music Mode, and there was a 20% increase in Likes sent by women on astrology profiles.
