At its inaugural Tinder Sparks event, the app unveiled several product changes, from a subtle redesign to new features meant to nudge users toward fuller profiles. The look is being modernized with a Liquid Glass design and full‑screen photos, and onboarding will encourage bios and multiple photos rather than just a selfie.

The centerpiece is Chemistry, an AI matchmaker already tested in Australia and New Zealand that rolls out in the U.S. and Canada today. Chemistry uses a Q&A and an opt‑in camera roll scan to produce “Photo Insights” and offer a daily curated match recommendation.

Related tools in the pipeline include Visual Interests and Photo Enhanced, and a real‑time recommendation system called Learning Mode aims to learn preferences quickly and gather feedback; internal testing links Learning Mode to higher short‑term return rates for women new to the app.
