Titus Welliver Joins Ballard as Season 2 Gets Release Update

Titus Welliver will return as Harry Bosch in Season 2 of the Bosch spin-off Ballard. The actor, who led Bosch for seven seasons and then returned for three seasons of Bosch: Legacy, is set to reprise the role, though the exact nature of his appearance has not been disclosed.

Season 2 is expected sometime later this year. A Deadline report also announced that Benjamin Bratt has joined Ballard. The new season follows Maggie Q’s LAPD Detective Renée Ballard as she leads an underfunded cold-case division. Also listed among the cast are Ever Carradine, Courtney Taylor, Michael Mosley, Rebecca Field, Victoria Moroles, Amy Hill, and John Carroll Lynch.

Ballard’s first season premiered July 9, 2025 on Prime Video. The Bosch franchise began in 2014 and grew into a key title for Prime Video, running seven seasons and inspiring spin-offs. Welliver’s portrayal of Bosch returned for Bosch: Legacy, which concluded last year.
