The record-breaking trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day drew 718 million views across platforms in its first 24 hours, topping the previous 365 million mark set by Deadpool & Wolverine. Brand New Day is the fourth solo film to star Tom Holland and is scheduled for a July 31, 2026 theatrical release.

It is the first of Holland’s Spider-Man films to be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton; the previous three were helmed by Jon Watts. The trailer’s reach has driven renewed interest in the franchise’s earlier entries. Spider-Man: No Way Home reunited Holland with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in 2021, grossed nearly $2 billion worldwide and now holds a 93% critics’ score and a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

FlixPatrol lists No Way Home among the most-watched movies on the domestic iTunes chart this week, while Homecoming and Far From Home appeared on Disney+’s domestic chart. Those viewership bumps underline how major trailers can push audiences back to streaming platforms.
