Tommy Lee Jones Joins Ethan Hawke in Season 2 of The Lowdown

The Lowdown, which stars Ethan Hawke as Lee Raybon, a self‑proclaimed “truthstorian,” has been renewed for a second season and added Tommy Lee Jones to the cast. Set in contemporary Tulsa, the series blends mystery and a modern take on Western themes while showcasing Hawke’s leading performance.

Season 1 followed Lee uncovering a conspiracy tied to the death of Dale Washberg (Tim Blake Nelson), working other local mysteries with private investigator Marty Brunner (Keith David), and trying to be more present for his daughter Francis (Ryan Kiera Armstrong).

Jones’ arrival hints the show may continue expanding its universe and evolve into a loose anthology that introduces major new characters and cases each season. Jones returns to television for the first time since his acclaimed turn in the Western adaptation Lonesome Dove more than four decades ago.
