Toy Story 5 trailer revives Deltarune's Woody theory

On Feb. 19, Disney and Pixar shared a new trailer for Toy Story 5 that pits Woody and his friends against tablet computers. Undertale and Deltarune creator Toby Fox quote‑tweeted the trailer on X, writing “Super excited this is finally announced. Can't wait for you guys to see what we have in store for you this time,” a post that has racked up about 154,000 likes.

The reaction might suggest something official, but Fox’s post is a long-running inside joke aimed at the Deltarune and Undertale fan community. Deltarune is being released episodically across seven chapters, and each chapter so far has included an optional, brutally hard secret boss fight that hints at deeper lore.

Before Chapters 3 and 4 arrived, fans floated the idea that Woody — or a legally distinct stand‑in — would appear as one of those secret bosses.
