Movieweb reports that Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Maggie Gyllenhaal's monster film The Bride!, featuring Jessie Buckley as the Bride and Christian Bale as Frankenstein.

The dark romance reimagines The Bride of Frankenstein with heavily stylized, punk-rock visuals, including dance numbers and powerful monologues as the trailer declares the "dead have something to say." In the film, Frankenstein (Bale) travels to Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) to create a companion, reviving a murdered woman played by Buckley; the cast also includes Peter Sarsgaard, Jake Gyllenhaal and Penélope Cruz. Gyllenhaal wrote and directed the project after her 2021 feature debut The Lost Daughter.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gyllenhaal said she wanted to expand the Bride's role after noting the original had 'five minutes at most,' and that the character 'comes back to life with a lot to say.' The Bride! is set to open in theaters on March 6, 2026.
