The trick that makes Grace's gun easier to aim in Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem has already become the fastest-selling title in Capcom's long-running action series. Beyond crafting, weapon upgrades and secrets, one basic mechanic has slipped past a surprising number of players. Hold the aim button briefly before moving the gun and the reticle narrows, which increases damage and the stagger effect of shots.
A player spotted the effect during a second playthrough and shared it on Reddit; the mechanic has appeared in recent Resident Evil entries including the remakes, RE7 and Village. The tutorial menu does include the information — it is the first entry in the combat subsection — but it isn’t shown as a pop-up the way melee use or restorative items are, so it’s easy to miss.
Many players in the thread said they had assumed the tighter reticle only improved accuracy and didn’t realize it also boosted damage and stagger. That small aiming habit can be decisive in scarce-ammo sections, particularly when playing as Grace in areas like the Care Center and its basement.
