The Triple-i Initiative, organized by Castlevania: Belmont's Curse developer Evil Empire, returns for its third year on April 9. The 45-minute stream will feature eight world premieres and trailers for games including Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Windrose and Dead as Disco.

Evil Empire marketing director Bérenger Dupré and head of business Benjamin Laulan discussed the show's origins and the work behind curating a live event. The showcase grew out of a Game Awards moment in 2022 around the Return to Castlevania DLC reveal; Dupré recalled, 'The champagne was not ready!

And the store page was barely ready!' The studio set out to build an indie-focused showcase with a simple mission: 'No hosts. No ads. Just games.' Curation guides every choice: with roughly 45 minutes and about 40 slots available, Evil Empire receives more than 300 submissions and must order trailers to create build-ups and strong moments.
