Tron joins AAIF governing board to support agentic AI adoption
Tron’s decentralized autonomous organization announced the network has joined the Agentic AI Foundation and will serve on its governing board. The DAO said agentic AI will create significant future demand and that collaboration and interoperability are needed to build systems able to handle “continuous, high-volume, low-value transactions efficiently at scale.” It added that interoperable frameworks will help AI agents operate across platforms without creating fragmented ecosystems.
The AAIF, run by the Linux Foundation, promotes open-source agentic AI development and works on industry standards for governance, safety and interoperability. Tron joins members such as Circle and JPMorgan. Last month, Stripe co-founders Patrick and John Collison warned of a major infrastructure gap in blockchain and said substantial scaling improvements will be required to meet incoming demand.
Founder Justin Sun said AI will be a key focus for Tron in 2026, arguing the network’s speed, scalability and low fees suit agentic AI transactions.
