Trump Calls on Netflix to Oust Susan Rice From Its Board
President Trump intervened again in the bidding war for Warner Bros. Discovery, urging Netflix to remove Susan Rice from its board. He shared an X post by Laura Loomer and wrote, "She’s got no talent or skills — Purely a political hack!" Loomer’s post quoted Rice as saying companies that took "a knee to Trump" would face accountability from Democrats if that party wins a majority in Congress in the midterm elections in November.
Rice has served in the Clinton, Obama and Biden administrations, including as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and as national security adviser to President Barack Obama. She joined Netflix’s board in 2018, left in 2020 to work in the Biden administration, and rejoined in 2023.
Netflix declined to comment on Sunday. Warner Bros. announced in December a deal to sell a large portion of its business to Netflix for $83 billion after outbidding Paramount Skydance’s $108 billion offer for the whole company.
