Trump: Iran is 'running out of launchers'
President Donald Trump said Iran was running out of missile launchers and that its attacks could continue "for a while." He made the remarks in a roughly four-minute phone call, arguing Tehran's military capacity is being steadily degraded. "They're running out and they're running out of areas to shoot them, because they're being decimated," Trump said.
"They're running out of launchers." He also warned Iranian forces are expected to "keep lobbing missiles for a while." The assertion had not been mentioned during a Monday Pentagon briefing or publicly by other administration officials. The comments came as the US and the Middle East brace for continued missile and drone attacks; US embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait announced closures and the State Department warned Americans across the Middle East to leave the region.
Trump said the US has "unlimited of the middle- and upper middle- ammunition" and that defense companies are "on a rapid tear" to build what is needed under emergency orders.
