Trump to meet Netanyahu in Washington amid tensions with Iran
President Trump is expected to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Wednesday as the Middle East remains on edge over recent threats of an American attack against Iran. It will be Mr. Netanyahu’s sixth trip to the United States to meet Mr.
Trump since the president began his second term, reflecting how cascading crises in Gaza, Israel and Iran have commanded the leaders’ attention. Mr. Netanyahu moved up the visit to discuss Mr. Trump’s continuing negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, which Israel views as an existential threat.
"I will present to the president our outlook regarding the principles of these negotiations — the essential principles, which, in my opinion are important not only to Israel, but to everyone around the world who wants peace and security in the Middle East," he said before boarding his flight.
