Spring break travel and a partial government shutdown have produced multi-hour security lines at a handful of airports, while most remain relatively unaffected. Houston Hobby and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International saw the longest waits, with general queues reported as long as three hours and footage showing lines backed up to the parking garage; expedited lines such as TSA PreCheck and Clear were also crowded or closed.

Other major hubs have not experienced the same level of disruption. George Bush Intercontinental’s longest line was 51 minutes on Sunday, and airports including Atlanta and Charlotte reported queues of about an hour; several popular gateways such as Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles, and New York were showing wait times of 30 minutes or less by Monday afternoon.

TSA data also showed Sunday as its busiest day this year, with nearly 2.8 million passengers screened across U.S. airports.
