Tubi launches Creatorverse Incubator with TikTok creators
Fox-owned streaming service Tubi launched its "Creatorverse Incubator" in partnership with TikTok, offering creators promotions and potential funding to produce original shows exclusively for the platform. The initiative is aimed at younger viewers and at bringing new series to Tubi’s more than 100 million monthly active users.
Selected creators will be free to develop scripted or unscripted series across genres, with Tubi providing creative backing to bring those ideas to life. The first cohort of creators will be announced later this summer, and the move follows a trend among streamers—most notably Peacock—to tap social media influencers for original content.
The program expands on a creators initiative launched 10 months ago that added content from YouTubers, including Mythical Entertainment; Tubi now hosts 16,000 episodes from more than 200 creators, and the most recent premiere is "Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami," featuring TikTok characters Terri Joe and Amethyst Jade.
