Black Waters: The Sea Empress Disaster, 9pm, BBC Two. “Horror. Absolute horror.” It has been 30 years since the Sea Empress oil spill caused one of the UK’s most serious marine pollution incidents. Within hours of hitting rocks in Milford Haven port, Wales, 70,000 tons of oil poured into the sea and spread across the coastline of Pembrokeshire.

In this documentary, those who saw the awful event tell their stories. Tonight: Supermarket Prices – Does Loyalty Pay?, 7.30pm, ITV1. It seems as if every supermarket receipt could be nearly halved by signing up to storecards, but just how much do we benefit from these loyalty schemes?

With food prices now up to 40% higher than in 2020, Kate Quilton investigates how to really cut costs. Alexander Armstrong in India, 8pm, Channel 5. The final leg of Armstrong’s tour starts with him taking the Metro to Aarey Forest, Mumbai’s “green lung”, which is fringed by a Bollywood studio.
