Two OLED gaming laptops now offer the best value
OLED gaming laptops used to cost a fortune, but last year saw those high-contrast panels trickle down into more affordable machines. You can now find OLED gaming laptops for well under $1,500, and two models stand out in the $1,100–$1,500 range with an RTX 5060: the Lenovo Legion 5 Gen 10 and the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI.
The Lenovo Legion 5 Gen 10 repeatedly trims its price and represents exceptional value for anyone after an OLED screen. Its panel is noticeably glossier than pricier options and can struggle with darker scenes in bright rooms, but it comes alive in low light. Configurable up to an RTX 5070, the tested RTX 5060 version delivered strong FHD performance; you may need DLSS or some settings reductions to reach 60fps in the heaviest titles.
It’s the cheapest machine recommended with an OLED display. The Acer Predator Helios Neo sits a step up in price but brings an RTX 5070 Ti option, a far less glossy screen and a sleeker design.
