Two students at Valley View Elementary in Columbia Heights, Minn., were taken into federal custody on Thursday after their mother was detained and asked school officials to bring the boys to her, the school’s principal, Jason Kuhlman, said. Kuhlman said he received a message from the boys’ mother while they were in class and drove the second grader and the fifth grader to the B.H.
