Tygo taps Iko Uwais' stunt team to power Don Lee's Extraction spin-off

MovieWeb reports (Jan. 28, 2026) that Netflix's Extraction spin-off Tygo has recruited Iko Uwais' newly formed stunt team (via M.A.A.C.) to handle the film's action, with Don Lee set to lead. The article says The Raid star Iko Uwais recently broke away from Hollywood and set up his own production company and stunt teams with the intent of recreating the blistering action sequences he is known for, and those teams will now bring those skills to the Extraction franchise.

Tygo is set within the same universe as Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction and follows Tygo, a former child soldier turned mercenary who "gets revenge on Korea’s underworld after a mission gone wrong," according to the official synopsis. The film is being produced by Big Punch Pictures and AGBO with co-production by Nova Film and B&C Content for Netflix, and stars Don Lee alongside Lee Jin-uk and Lisa of BLACKPINK.

MovieWeb notes the Extraction franchise already has two movies with a third on the way and an upcoming spin-off series, Mercenary, led by Omar Sy. The outlet also highlights Don Lee’s action credentials and quotes him saying, when the project was first announced, "TYGO brings a distinctly Korean identity into the global Extraction universe.
