Uber employees use AI clone of CEO to prep presentations
Some Uber employees have built an AI clone of CEO Dara Khosrowshahi called "Dara AI" and use it to rehearse presentations before meeting him, Khosrowshahi said on The Diary of a CEO podcast hosted by Steven Bartlett. "They basically make the presentation to the Dara AI as a prep for making a presentation to me," he said.
The tool helps teams tune slides and other aspects of their presentations, though it's not clear how widespread the CEO bot is within Uber's corporate offices. The example highlights a growing trend of employees using AI to prepare for high-pressure workplace moments.
When Bartlett asked, "Are you concerned that they're going to show Dara AI to the board?" both men laughed. Khosrowshahi said AI still struggles to process and make choices based on new information, which is a key part of executive work. "When the models can learn in real-time, that is the point at which I'm going to think that, yeah, we are all replaceable," he said.
