Umbro mark St. Patrick's Day with Irish-infused throwback capsule

Umbro has released the '17-3' capsule, a reimagined Ireland shirt alongside a track jacket and green Speciali trainers, to mark St. Patrick's Day and celebrate the global Irish spirit. The collection honours the nation's patron saint and plays into worldwide festivities on March 17.

The capsule forms part of the 'Thread that Binds' campaign, which celebrates Irish heritage and the ways Irish culture shifts, migrates and embraces change. LA-based dancer Morgan Bullock, rapper and songwriter Rejjie Snow, and Dublin multidisciplinary artist Sean Atmos model the collection.

The shirt is constructed in a green jacquard with a 90s aesthetic and an all-over tessellated design that combines the Umbro double diamond and a Celtic Knot motif. A textured crest bears Saint Patrick's insignia, while the flat knit collar and sleeve cuffs carry the orange, white and green of the flag.
