If you're having trouble viewing an Amazon product's price or using the Amazon app, you're not the only one. Over 150,000 reports were submitted to Downdetector on Thursday, and the service's map showed a partial outage affecting major U.S. cities including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco and Seattle.

Downdetector is owned by Ziff Davis. As of 6:20 p.m. ET the number of reports had fallen significantly to roughly 2,000, down from a peak of about 220,000. Some users can add items to carts and complete purchases again, while others say listings lead to blank pages.

Earlier in the afternoon the total in the analysis period reached 159,997, with a spike of more than 21,000 at one point around 4:15 p.m. Customers posted on social media about checkout, product page and mobile app problems, with checkout issues the most common.
