U.S. hockey celebrates gold in Miami with $150K champagne, Gaudreau tribute
The men’s U.S. hockey team marked its 2026 Olympic gold in Miami, staying at 1 Hotel South Beach after flying in from Milan. They gathered on the hotel’s rooftop pool WATR, moved to the lobby where some lit cigars, and boarded a tour bus amid hundreds of cheering fans, many wearing their medals.
The players dined at Michelin-star Cote Steakhouse, enjoying champagne, Petrossian caviar and filet mignon, then arrived at megaclub E11even around 11 p.m. They walked a red carpet, took over the club’s party pit and were met with a bottle parade as more than 2,000 people waited outside.
J.T. Miller crowd-surfed, Matthew Tkachuk took the mic, Brady Tkachuk hoisted Jack Hughes onto his shoulders, and Jack Eichel joined the early crowd-surfing. The team consumed more than $150,000 in champagne, much of it sprayed into the crowd and poured into fans’ mouths.
