US Spot Bitcoin ETF Balances Fall by 100,300 BTC to 1.26M
Glassnode data shows US spot Bitcoin ETF balances have declined by roughly 100,300 BTC since October, bringing total holdings to about 1.26 million BTC amid sustained net outflows. The withdrawals included $1.6 billion pulled from these products in January, extending a streak of monthly outflows that began in November 2025, SoSoValue says.
Bitcoin has trended lower since its October record high of $126,000 and was trading at $67,349 at the time of writing, leaving ETF investors—whose average entry price is about $83,980 per BTC, per Glassnode—sitting on roughly 20% unrealized losses. Spot ETFs, once seen as a structural catalyst for the rally, may have amplified downside pressure during redemptions.
