Vince Gilligan says Pluribus season 2 progressing, but will take time

Vince Gilligan said work is underway on Pluribus season 2 during an Apple TV press day, noting "We're plugging away" and thanking fans for getting the show "on this stage."

He said the team is "deeper into the process at this moment than I would like, considering how few episodes we have figured out," and added that "it takes some time, just as it did the first season."

Gilligan warned the show "ain't gonna be The Pitt, coming back every year," saying "It will not be like The Pitt. We'll come back the same month  just the question is what year," and referenced a wish for the older, regular schedule of shows like The X-Files.

He reiterated that his writers are continuing to work on the series, but that an exact return year remains undetermined.
