Viola Davis to Produce Adaptation of The Untamed: A Sinner's Prayer

Viola Davis will partner with Julius Tennon’s JuVee Productions and Simon Swart and Andrew Crosby of Homeworld Entertainment to adapt the Afro-fantasy graphic novel The Untamed: A Sinner's Prayer by Sebastian A. Jones. Set in the fictional world of Asunda, the story follows a mysterious figure known as the Stranger who returns to the lawless town of Oasis with seven days to collect the seven souls responsible for murdering his wife and child.

Along the way he meets Niobe, a young orphan whose influence shifts his quest from vengeance toward a search for redemption. Davis previously wrote the foreword for Jones’ Niobe: She is Life graphic novel in 2017, a connection the team described as full circle.
