Visa and Bridge plan to roll out stablecoin-linked cards to more than 100 countries by the end of 2026. The product is currently live in 18 countries and the expansion targets Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. Bridge, a stablecoin infrastructure platform acquired by Stripe, enables businesses and fintech developers to issue Visa cards backed by stablecoins.

Visa and Bridge unveiled the card issuance product last year. The cards let customers use stablecoin balances held in crypto wallets to pay merchants that accept Visa. Platforms including Phantom and MetaMask are already using the cards to let millions of users spend stablecoins on everyday purchases.

Visa is also evaluating whether to support assets issued by Bridge in future transactions, with the assessment focused on how those assets could strengthen Visa’s global network and provide a new settlement option for partners.
