Visiting Pokopia Dream Islands: how to go and what you'll find

Visiting a Pokopia Dream Island is a good way to gather extra, effectively unlimited resources for building and crafting. Different islands yield different materials, and you can only visit one island type per day; for example, if you go to a Rock Peak island for iron ore, you must wait until the next day to visit an ocean island for seashells.

To travel to a Dream Island you need Drifloon in your world and one of the various Pokémon dolls. Once Drifloon has moved in, they can carry you to an island when you show them a doll—the doll’s type determines the island. You can talk to Drifloon and show a doll from your inventory, or place a doll on the ground outside and interact with it to call Drifloon; dolls placed indoors won’t work, and placing them outside can summon Drifloon even if you’re in another town.
