Vlahovic included in Juventus squad; Zhegrova’s place to be decided

Dusan Vlahovic has been named in Luciano Spalletti’s squad for tonight’s Serie A match at the Allianz Stadium against Sassuolo (Matchday 30, 8.45 pm). He felt discomfort during yesterday’s final training session and underwent a decisive test this morning before being cleared to return after more than 100 days; he had been absent from the Cagliari match on 29 November.

Juventus’ number 9, whose contract expires on 30 June and who is in the midst of extremely complicated renewal negotiations while monitoring other potential offers, has made 17 appearances this season, scoring 6 goals, providing 2 assists and playing 874 minutes.

Khephren Thuram is also included after leaving early with an ankle problem in Juventus’s recent away win at Udinese. Edon Zhegrova was present despite recent muscle fatigue; the medical staff have urged caution and continue to monitor him.
