Voidtrain patch boosts inventory, adds free DLC and 50% discount
Voidtrain, HypeTrain Digital’s interdimensional train survival sim, officially launched in 2025 after four years in Steam early access and has become the de facto grandaddy of railway-based survival games. This week’s small update significantly increases inventory capacity for players and containers, addresses numerous bugs, improves the crafting UI, and introduces a peaceful variant of railway depots so they no longer always involve combat.
The new Tour de Void DLC lets the game’s Rofleemo pets travel aboard the train, with buildable seats and a tourist stand that hands out tasks and challenges. Rewards include cosmetics such as rail skins and train decorations, along with functional perks and upgrades; the DLC normally costs $8 (£6) but is free until Monday.
If you don’t own Voidtrain, the base game is currently 50% off at $15 (£12.50) until March 5. The final version has a mostly positive Steam rating, though players have criticised its grindy survival progression and clunky FPS combat.
