Fox. The company says a new original title is released on the platform each week. Vertical storytelling has shifted from niche to mainstream as audiences increasingly prefer mobile-tailored content. Micro-drama platforms such as ReelShort and DramaBox have become a multibillion-dollar segment: Appfigures projected ReelShort to reach about $1.2 billion in gross consumer spending in 2025, while DramaBox generated $276 million last year.
TikTok has also launched a micro-drama app, and Vurt competes with newcomers like Watch Club. Vurt streamlines distribution by letting creators submit projects directly; once approved, filmmakers can upload content that becomes available within 48 to 72 hours.
