Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney reflected on their emotional five-year journey as Wrexham owners, saying one aspect still gives them "goosebumps" as the club chases a historic Premier League promotion. Since their £2 million takeover in February 2021, the acting duo have transformed the Red Dragons from National League hopefuls into genuine contenders to reach the Premier League, a rise amplified by the "Welcome to Wrexham" docuseries.

They said the novelty of leading the Welsh side hasn't faded and the connection to the community has only deepened as the season reaches its business end. To mark five years they joined Sky Sports' commentary team for the match against Swansea, a 2-0 win. "There's such a feeling of togetherness in a place like this," Reynolds said.
