Wario Listed in Description for Super Mario Galaxy Sequel

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to open in April, and the sequel is already confirmed to include Yoshi, Bowser Jr., Rosalina and the returning core cast of Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Peach. IGN noticed that UK cinema chain Everyman recently posted a new description for the film that explicitly names Wario.

The listing reads: “After defeating Bowser and saving Brooklyn, Mario faces Wario and Bowser Jr.’s evil alliance. Now, alongside his friends and Yoshi, he must stop their plans for world domination.” Wario has not yet been announced by Nintendo or Universal in any of the movie’s official marketing or trailers, so the character’s presence remains unconfirmed ahead of the April 1 debut.

Chris Pratt, who voices Mario, has said there are more unannounced characters to be revealed, which could align with the leaked description if it is accurate.
