A surprise 2026 expansion added a new demon-summoner class to Diablo 2: Resurrected and shook up a 26-year-old meta. Warlocks quickly emerged as the most powerful class, in part thanks to new endgame challenges introduced alongside them. One build stands out above the rest: the Echoing Strike warlock.

It relies on Echoing Strike’s shotgun-like physical attacks more than on directing pets, with summoned demons serving mostly as damage buffs. Because much of the game’s monsters are immune to elemental damage, Echoing Strike’s physical damage avoids a common obstacle other skills face.

The build demands high-tier gear to reach its peak, but warlocks also have some of the fastest leveling options, so players can get there relatively quickly. Sorceresses and paladins remain competitive, however, so playing an older class still offers a viable path through the expansion’s terror zones and uber boss.
