Collider reports that since Weak Hero Class 2 arrived on Netflix the series has pulled in more than 112 million hours viewed, per FlixPatrol, while Letterboxd users continue to rate it as one of Netflix’s strongest K-action titles. The Korean high school action drama follows Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon), a quiet, high-achieving student who is repeatedly bullied and who reacts violently after snapping, relying on quick reactions and his surroundings rather than brute strength.

The first season traces his fragile friendship with Ahn Su-ho (Choi Hyun-wook) and Oh Beom-seok (Hong Kyung), which breaks down and ends in a violent finale with long-term consequences. Season 2 moves Si-eun to a new school but brings a larger threat in The Union, an organized student network that treats intimidation and extortion like a business, using stolen phones to control students, put them into debt, and threaten them.

The series emphasizes how little help adults and institutions provide, leaving students in unsafe environments. Reviewing performances, the series highlights Park Ji-hoon’s restrained portrayal, Choi Hyun-wook’s warmth, and Hong Kyung’s unsettling turn as Beom-seok; the show argues trauma persists after violent events.
