What to Expect From the Pokémon Day Presents 30th Anniversary Stream
The Pokémon Company has announced its annual Pokémon Day Presents showcase for Friday, February 27 at 9 a.m. Eastern / 6 a.m. Pacific. The presentation will stream on the official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels and will be available as a VOD. Only the FireRed and LeafGreen ports have been confirmed to appear so far.
The showcase is scheduled to run about 25 minutes, making it one of the longer Pokémon Day broadcasts. These presentations usually touch on the whole franchise, so expect updates on mobile titles such as Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Go and Pokémon Sleep, along with news about the anime and the Trading Card Game.
Pokémon Pokopia is due to release on March 5, so more of that game will likely be shown, and some portion of the stream will probably highlight 30th anniversary events like Day Out and Night Out for families and longtime fans. Leaks about the next generation—reportedly called Pokémon Wind and Wave—suggest new RPGs could take up a substantial portion of the showcase.
