Where to find salt crystals in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Some ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley are easier to track down than others, and salt crystals are one of the trickier finds. You must have the Storybook Vale DLC before you can forage for salt, and having that DLC also makes dishes containing salt more likely to appear in villagers' favourite gift lists.

A handful of quests call for the ingredient as well. Salt crystals can only be obtained by fishing in Everafter, the area to the left of Storybook Vale that you access when you unlock Flynn Rider at the start of the DLC. Opening Everafter requires 2,000 Storybook Magic, so it’s a notable investment, but salt can be found in any open water there.

To catch salt crystals you need to fish outside of ripples, the same method used for seaweed. That means there’s no guarantee of an immediate find—you may pull up seaweed or basic fish like cod and rainbow trout—but you also don’t have to wait for ripples to appear.
