Where Was Hank Voight on Chicago P.D. This Week?

Hank Voight was absent from the Intelligence Unit in Chicago P.D.'s Season 13, Episode 15, "Live and Die By Your CI." The story shifted to Adam Ruzek after a DEA agent raised the alarm about a missing criminal informant. Voight was out of town handling red tape when the team learned a former CI had gone cold on the DEA.

Ruzek arranged a meet that collapsed into a pop-up shooting; he escaped unharmed, but his wife and partner Kim Burgess pushed to involve Voight. "We've got to call Voight," Ruzek told Burgess. "We can't call Voight," Burgess replied. "He's in Springfield for mandatory recertification."
