Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’s Season 27 episode "Frequency" on March 5 grew particularly chilling thanks to guest star Eric Edelstein. Though this was his Law & Order debut, Edelstein has built a prolific career across television and film, rising to notice in the early 2000s and 2010s with early guest spots on All That, Ugly Betty, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Parks and Recreation.

In the episode Edelstein played Costa Lykos, the villain at the center of a case that began when a rogue frequency on a baby camera picked up footage of a boy named Avery trapped in a cage. SVU’s effort to triangulate the signal became more difficult once they learned Avery was autistic and non-verbal, complicating communication over the video feed.

Sgt. Amanda Rollins gained access to Costa’s home under the pretense that his cousin was being investigated, but Costa fled when he caught on. Detectives pursued him through city streets and into a subway station, losing him after he jumped onto the tracks.
