Wildlight says Dr Disrespect falsely claimed to attend Highguard preview

Pcgamer reports that Wildlight Entertainment says streamer Guy Beahm, known as Dr Disrespect, lied about attending a Highguard preview and that the photo he posted of an access pass was fake.

The episode began on January 24, when Beahm posted on X claiming to be in Los Angeles to check out Highguard and shared a photo of gaming peripherals, a "brain fuel" drink, a knife and what appeared to be a Highguard launch event pass. Reporter Morgan Park attended the studio's press preview and Beahm was not present; Wildlight creator manager Chin Pua wrote on X that "DDR was not invited to any Highguard event past or present," and that the access pass Beahm posted "was not an official badge." The studio confirmed Pua's post and said Beahm did not attend either preview event.

Beahm replied to Pua on X with, "Why would you lie like this Chin she/her? We even drank large Vanilla Lattes and read the Rollin Stones magazine together before the event." Nothing else has been said since, and Wildlight and the reporter say there has been no explanation for why Beahm made the claim.
